Social Care Charging Legislation
The Peers in the House Of Lords have chucked it back at the Government! MPs will have to vote again!
Vote result : Change to the #SocialCare cap – 160-151
Another government defeat. Peers vote for local council support with care costs to count towards a person’s total cap on care costs. Will give poorer people protection from catastrophic costs… but still needs approval of MPs.
So get writing to your MPs!
