One Response to “DPAC vigil in Bristol 6 May to support judicial review over discriminatory council”

  1. I’ve just completed my 1 year on being forced to migrate on to Universal Credit. I went on to my account on the 6 Th April to give the increase in rent & service charges.
All seemed ok, but today they asked me to look at my latest statement & they’ve taken £23 a month from me!! It seems they’re saying it’s due the transitional payment being reduced. So the”you won’t be worse off coming off ESA hasn’t lasted”? Someone at Scope online said has it gone to my Landlord, but that doesn’t make sense.

I’ve queried it with my Landlord just in case. This is discriminatory, I have high service charges being in sheltered housing, only a small amount gets paid for with the rent. That’s a lot more £ to find & it’s just gone up a lot again.
