This survey is a part of PhD project at Durham University which is focusing on the experiences and views of Black and Brown Disabled people living in the United Kingdom. This looks at the intersection of disability and race, and explores important themes and areas which matter to us and our journey as we make sense of our identity. - Developed from qualitative insights from various Black and Brown Disabled people across the United Kingdom
- Key themes identified and included in this survey are:
- Understanding your disability and support
- Navigating your support
- Perceptions and attitudes
- Belonging and representation
- Features a total of 100 statements, asking your level of agreement with each of these (from Strongly Disagree to Strongly Agree)
- Contains demographic/background questions to help develop an intersectional understanding
Who can complete this survey?
Please encourage individuals who meet all four points below to complete this by the 31st December 2022, if they:
- Have a disability, long-term health condition or illness (including self-diagnoses)
- Identify as Black or Brown (for example, but not strictly limited to, those of African, Caribbean, or South Asian heritage)
- Live in the United Kingdom
- Are aged 18 years and over
