Chaminda Jayanetti, a journalist who we work with often, is working on an article for the Observer about people waiting for home care provision (ie ‘unallocated hours’) because of a lack of availability, which has exploded as a problem since spring 2021. As a result people are left stuck in inappropriate care settings, reliant on unpaid family care, or languishing without any care at all.
