  1. my friend who claims universal credits has to do a medical weekly to prove she is not fit for work…if she fails that medical her claim will be santioned and she wont get finacial help anymore!

    • Is she on ESA in the Support Group as if she is she doesn’t has to prove is not fit to work as if in Support Group is excempt from this.

      Philip

      • hi my friend has fibro and b12 diffiency and ibs also she suffers with anxiety attacks badly and gets very nervous every week she has to have these universal credits health assessments…i know shes not in a support group as she has been told shes not eligable for pip as the dwp told her she would have to have more disabilities to claim pip as she only scored 2 on her recent pip assessment!

  2. in swindon/wilts we have to wait 12 times that long for claims for universal credit….try calling universal credit dept at our local jobcenter(pretend your interested in claiming as they will tell you the waiting times because they say theres a major backlog….theres apparently been a major backlog for months now plus no one i know has ever had the money owed back dated by them for waiting so long for their claim to go through….so many lose their homes here as they cant pay their rent because no one tells them of any options they might have while waiting 🙁

    • I was homeless last year due to unversal credit….

have moved to an area where its not yet been introduced

      • so sorry to hear you went through the hell of being homeless…i know 17 families in my town that have lost their homes and living in bed and breakfast due to benefits changing to universal credits as these are families that didnt know when they did council house exchanges there money would be stoped as its now classed as a change of circumstances so your made to put in a fresh claim…its so unfare how the system is these days as no one should be reduced to povety and living on the streets as the uk is supposed to be one of the richest countries in the world 🙁
