  1. I completely understand where you are coming from, but I think Labour have to walk a fine line to ensure they don’t upset the rest of the electorate, we are one voice of many, and by saying they are there for the many, they are not ruling us out. They can’t come out and say they are 100% pro disabled people without alienating the rest of the electorate. It is implied by supporting the bill of rights, which supports disabled people that they will support disabled people. To come out and say they will stand 100% in support of disabled people would be political suicide and open them up to attack by the tories, which would just weaken their position right before the election.

Can you imagine the political capital the tories would make of labour going back to overspending?

If your conscience is not to vote, then so be it, that is your choice. For myself I plan to vote Labour and no matter what the outcome is, I will know I did all I could to oust the tories and bring back a government that historically has always stood for the people. I don’t say they are the best, I don’t say they are ticking all the right boxes for me, but ousting the tories, the removal of the bedroom tax, actions against rogue landlords, bringing accountability into WCA, NHS waiting times etc. are huge strides away from the tory agenda.

Other political parties are now making claims to assist, where were they in the last 5 years? Where was the Green Party? I like a lot of what the Green Party is now saying, but realistically they don’t have the overall support to oust the tories. I also don’t agree with some of the words they are using either, nationalising implies communism. They do not have the experience or track record in government. For every fringe party people vote for instead of Labour, it is one more vote that is helping the tories back into power.

    • In reply to Mr Ben.

That a Labour supporter says Labour overspent in last government is strange, when the Tories have spent more in 5 years than Labour did in last 13 years, is a bit strange.

Labour did not overspend, not did Labour’s government spending cause the recession.
Recessions do not come from government, but from the worlds of finance. They always have.
Austerity in a recession is derelicton of duty by government, as it only just makes matter worse.

Nationalising is not communism. Labour had mostly nationalised industries most of its existence just fine.

Privatisation has just made utilities unaffordable and, just like the Greens’ supported climate change levy, has killed tens of thousands each bitter winter, without central heating in their homes.

Other parties did not exist 5 years ago. New parties take up to 20 years to get into any kind of recognition.

The national media is ignoring all the small parties, even the 6th biggest one, TUSC – Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition – that is the sacked from Labour over the years, who do indeed have a lot of experience in government, national and local.

There are other small parties that are also ex Labour party members, MPs and councillors.

All sacked from the Labour party for voting in councils against austerity cuts.

TUSC also includes branch secretary as well as trade union members running as MP and councillor candidates on Thursday.

There is the biggest proper left number of candidates in this election than for 60 years.
All of them being entirely ignored by the national media.

Labour voters are the most who do not come out to vote and the most who do not keep registered to vote.

The Tories have already won as the reply from Ben is an entirely Tory reply.

Labour has not been an effective opposition to the Tories since 2010. It almost appears that they are already in a grand coalition with the Tories.

None of the big parties, The Greens or UKIP offer the poor any state pension at all or reducing it to next to nothing from next year as new claimants. Pension Credit is reducing or gone as well.
When the welfare state is all but gone already.

Only the parties of the left offer to
      REVERSE THE RETIREMENT AGE
      PAY DECENT STATE PENSION
PAY £10 LIVING WAGE (SUGGESTED BY TUC)

Ban sanctions, ban workfare, build mass social housing, stop the social cleansing of London where most of the jobs are, abolish the WCA, and end starvation for all ages.

As Labour does not pay me a state pension for life, this lifelong Labour voter (after generations before me), will now vote NATIONAL HEALTH ACTION party.

It is my hope that the disabled where TUSC (113 MP candidates and over 600 councillor candidates) are running as MP and / or councillor candidates will vote them, in return.

For us disabled to help each other.
