The Public Accounts Committee this week published their report on the Work Capability Assessment and criticised the Department for Work and Pensions for their handling of the contract with Atos, for allowing them a monopoly and for being complacent about the numbers of wrong decisions.

  1. We should also look to the next countries to be breached by ATOS, so that we can get a list of all welfare recipients’ representative bodies and keep them absolutely inundated with warnings and information, including every detail of people’s experiences with ATOS. One way, one day, this will all start happening to others in another land, and we owe it to all benefit claimants in their land, to adequately warn them.

In the meantime, I’ll just sit here and enjoy watching ATOS squirm…because it’s their turn to!

  2. I can’t believe that they haven’t been reported for Corporate Manslaughter. Or are they exempt from the act. They have duty of care.

  3. I spoke briefly at the national council meeting of the Coalition of Resistance. They were very enthusiastic about all news of the ‘beginning of the end of ATOS’! Some of them knew about the report of the Parliamentary Accounts Committee and I also told them about Warwick students ejecting ATOS people who they found recruiting during Disability Awareness week! A great cheer went up!

They would now welcome us into the new People’s Assembly Against Austerity, which they are launching with a large number of trades unions and various other concerned organisations, in June.

  4. ITN visited me at home to talk about the report unfortunately I don’t have a link as it was only shown on East Midlands – Central News

    • After phoning the DVLA I received a phone call claiming to be from Job center plus .I do NOT have any dealings with the job center plus and told this to the man.I then put the phone number into Google 01264 325540 ,I was surprised to find it was a company called ATOS.
After a little home work on line I have found many people who have no idea why their phone is receiveing calls from ATOS who are saying differant things about forms not received and payments may be suspended to those who are disabled who should see a person at a pre arranged meeting place.
