Dear (Insert MP name)
I am extremely disappointed that you voted for welfare reforms last night and as your constituent I feel badly let down after voting for a change of government and placing my faith that you would protect disabled people after 14 yrs of Tory Austerity when disabled people have been hit the hardest of any group in society. I recall the disgust Labour showed the Tory party when the UN said that the UK had committed Grave and Systemic Violations of Disabled Peoples Rights, yet even though this same body asked you to rethink your reforms you decided to ignore the UN just like your predecessors.
It is with regret that I will not be voting for you or your party at the next election along with millions of other disabled people and those others affected, by this cruel and hostile government who has cut the income of those who have higher expenses and costs associated with their disability in the middle of a cost of living crisis.
Yours Sincerely

  1. We have been battered and sunk by a LABOUR GOVERNMENT?I WAS an activist for the labour party for years. Im.deeply hurt by their betrayal to disabled people. I will never vote labour again. Its evil let’s take half their income away. But Instead they gave themselves rise . They will stand by whilst disabled people die of cold hunger and lack of unaffordable care and heating in the winter

  2. I’ve already written a similar letter, and her response was to try to justify why she voted for the bill. It’s hopeless. I’d even used some info that Jeremy Corbyn gave me. To no avail.

    Sigh
