[from Good Law Project]

As more and more people are struggling to afford their energy bills, energy suppliers are increasingly switching their customers onto prepayment meters (PPMs). If PPM customers don’t have the money to top-up their meter, eventually they will run out of gas or electricity. To make matters worse, PPM users generally still pay daily standing charge costs even if they have disconnected.

At Good Law Project, we’re concerned that energy companies are using backdoor methods to install PPMs and failing to follow due process, meaning we think we can challenge them on legal grounds.

If you have been notified about being moved onto a prepayment meter, please get in touch by filling in this short survey. https://form.123formbuilder.com/6307729/form

If you haven’t been notified about a PPM but you can help share this survey, then please do so on Facebook, Twitter or WhatsApp
