[From Taxpayers Against Poverty]
UK households are being hit with enormous hikes in the cost of energy – all while suppliers make huge profits.
Last year alone, the ‘Big Six’ energy companies made over £1bn worth of profit.
That’s why we’ve launched a campaign demanding that the government takes some of these profits to help cut bills for those most affected by the crisis:
Rising fuel prices are causing households huge amounts of stress and anxiety and forcing increasing numbers to turn to food and fuel banks.
Compassionate politics means stepping in when people need help.
It means putting the wellbeing, health, and security of the public first.
Please sign the petition today and call on the government to show the leadership we need.
Warm regards,
Alex
