The Universal Discredit Show.

Lockdown law is being used to stifle opposition to our extreme right-wing government. But we will not be silent.

Leeds & Wakefield Unite Community has been collaborating with the Red Shed Players Gill C and David W to produce an online event showing that people who are not on U.C. see the evil of the system and those on it REFUSE TO BE CRUSHED by it.

Universal Credit is very unfair and must be replaced. The event is entitled : The Universal Discredit Show.

Some of the content focuses directly on the question of Universal Credit, while other elements are contributions from various artists to showing solidarity with those on Universal Credit and on the campaign.

The event will include:

  • The world premiere of two short films (about 6mins each) by the RED SHED PLAYERS
  • Poetry from Matt Abbott
  • Art work from Gill Crawshaw and Vince Laws
  • Music – tbc
  • Campaigning on Universal Credit – Gerry Lavery
  • Discussion

The Universal Discredit Show is a Facebook Live Event which will take place at 7pm on Thursday 25th March. It will last about an hour (certainly no longer than 90 minutes) and include the opportunity to contribute to discuss the art and the issue.

You are warmly invited to the event, and please feel free to share with others who you think might be interested.
