Inclusion London have asked us to pass on the following requests to our supporters
You can read more about the Care Charging Campaign in the top story here
- We are collecting case studies to share on social media and with the House of Lords members in our briefing. Please, if you can think of anyone who might be willing to share their experience, pass this information to them. https://www.inclusionlondon.org.uk/news/please-help-us-make-social-care-charging-reforms-fair-for-all/ this website gives a short overview of the reforms, why they are bad for Disabled people and what we want to change. Ideally for case studies we are asking for video clips, but written case studies are also good.
- We will use a hashtag #MakeCareFair which we’ll start populating more with case studies from next Monday, the 21st. We ask for your support, for example you could tweet about your experience of care charging or supporting people to dispute financial assessments etc. or you can just share our content. You can see content on https://twitter.com/hashtag/MakeCareFair?src=hashtag_click as you will see, some content has been generated already. We are asking people to share this content with their MPs.
- We set up a letter to MPs, to make sure we keep the momentum in the Commons if the Bill gets back, which it probably will. The template letter is here, please share with your networks and encourage people to send to their MPs. https://actionnetwork.org/letters/scrap-care-charging?source=direct_link&
