We’re hearing of several people being told by their CCG’s that their continuing health care funding can no longer be used to employ people on a self employed basis. Obviously many people use this option as a back up in cases of emergency as well as longer term.
NHS England have suggested that a good way for people to access support if they are in this situation is via the Be Human partnership, commissioned by NHS England and NHS Improvement to provide advice, conciliation and arbitration where required:
