As you know the hand in of our Energy For All petition was postponed from 19 September, (the day of the Queen’s funeral).  It has been rescheduled for WEDNESDAY 19 OCTOBER – just a week away!  In the interim, the petition has been signed by another 100,000 people, and many MPs have declared their intention to join us on the day.  The government’s relief has left people still far from able to meet basic needs. , Overall, the government’s measures help the poorest households least. People struggling to survive in homes still without insulation will be among the hardest hit. And there is a real and serious risk of more tragic fires as people turn in desperation to candles and use long-abandonned fireplaces with unswept chimneys. In the context of this disaster, more and more organisations are signing on to endorse the principle of Energy For All.

The new details are here: a rally at 1 pm at the George V statue outside Parliament in Old Palace Yard, Westminster, where 20 MPs are expected to attend, then proceeding to Downing St for the delivery at 2.30 pm.

We hope you will join us, send messages of support, or spread news of the #EnergyForAll event on social media.

Social media content can be found here.

There’s still time to spread it, too, via your mailing lists.
