We’ve had someone who is in private rented accommodation which is coming to an end, being made homeless because their council has failed to provide alternative accommodation that meets their needs.
We want to know how widespread this is and how many others this has happened to.

When in Glasgow in 1990s, I was placed in serious debts with private l/lords. Th Council changed the rate of payment from of HB from 4 weekly to monthly. placing ALL tenants a full month in arrears. Th HB legislation specified that the benefit could be weekly, 4 weekly, or monthly but the DWP refused to make payments that allowed me to make my rent.
The stress of constant demand severely exacerbated my MS. I ended up having to move house,
single-handedly, relying on friends, and was homeless for months.
This was purely to suit the admin arrangements of council and I calculated the Council accrued a fortune that should have been paid out to tenants as their legal rights. This impacted DISABLED most of all
and was made worse by sheer lack of social housing stock, AT the time 150,000 people were chasing7000 homes that existed.
