Keir Starmer’s government has disappointed so many of us. Instead of bringing change it has brought in more attacks on working class people – from removing the fuel poverty payment to the benefit cut.
And all of this has been done hand in hand with loyal support for Israeli genocide and the racist scapegoating of migrants and refugees. The combination of austerity and racism is paving the way for Nigel Farage and far right Reform UK.
But it doesn’t have to be this way. Millions have taken to the streets for Palestine. We came out in our thousands when far right riots took to the streets. And massive numbers of people want a genuine left alternative to Starmer’s continuation of Tory policies.
How can the left turn the tide? Join this People’s Question time to ask questions to the panel, take part in the debate and discuss how we can build a movement of hope
This event is supported by: Oxford Stand Up To Racism, Strike Map, Disabled People Against Cuts (DPAC), Strike Map, Oxford Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Oxford Stop the War Coalition, Oxford & District Trades Council, DWP PCS Oxon and Bucks, South Central Postal CWU, Oxfordshire Unison Health with more support expected. https://wedemandchange.uk/
