TAKE ACTION IN JANUARY

On December 3rd, we came together for the first ever Day of Action on fuel poverty organised by @ThisWinterUK!

On 19th January, @ONS  will announce the number of excess winter deaths last year, we are calling on our allies to take action once again

Fuel Poverty Action have historically protested around this annual event in collaboration with @NPCUK. This year, we are joining force once again with @dontpayuk  and others. Register to take action actionnetwork.org/forms/register!

VIGILS

Hold a minute’s silence in your local area, contact us e4a@fuelpovertyaction.org.uk so we can connect you with others near you.  In London join a ‘Funeral March’ between 8-9am from Trafalgar Square to Downing Street. Wear black, bring a white flower and placards.

WARM-UPS

On January 21st, organise or participate in a Warm-Up protest. Register for training eventbrite.com/cc/warm-up-tra. Warm-Ups expected so far in Edinburgh, Exeter, London and Manchester. Contact e4a@fuelpovertyaction.org.uk if organising a Warm-Up.

TAKE ACTION DIGITALLY
Look out for actions you can take at home to ramp up the pressure on the government to deliver solutions and end winter deaths.
MEDIA PACK
We will share press release templates and a social media pack to amplify events in the new year.

OUR DEMANDS

We will demand our government protect people this winter and #BanForcedPPMs. We call on the government to instead implement FPA’s demand of #EnergyForAll so that everyone’s basic needs can be met.
