Benefit sanctions – Disabled people’s experiences

I had a bitchy sanction in 2010 – money suddenly stopped in mid-winter while I was on a 13 wk attachment AND trying to start a self employed job up!k
Was genuinely called down for what was described as an ID check – went down with tape recorder. half way through, she spun the screen round and said ”can you show me the money you got for that one” – sadly for her, the answer was ‘yes’. She said ‘oh dont tell me that one , i was self employed myself” – I said are you admitting you fiddled then? She scribbled something on the form, asked me to sign it AND THEN WROTE SOMETHING ELSE ON IT AFTER I’D SIGNED.
So much for PACE. I genuinely nearly took an overdose that winter – do they care? Nope.
